We are a small, budget-conscious film production company seeking a talented and professional Camera Operator to join our team. We have an exciting lineup of feature and short film projects, primarily in the horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror genres, with opportunities to work in other genres as well.

Key Requirements:

  • Professionalism: Must be polite, punctual, and able to work collaboratively on set.
  • Experience: Proven experience in operating camera and lighting equipment across various genres.
  • Versatility: Ability to adapt and work creatively in different genres, with a focus on horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror.
  • Systematic Approach: Organized and methodical in your work to ensure a smooth filming process.
  • Equipment: Must own professional camera and lighting equipment. Please include a detailed list of your gear, lenses, and other relevant equipment for consideration.
  • Availability: Must be available for project-to-project work, as needed.
  • Transportation: A reliable car is required for traveling to different filming locations.

We are a growing, budget-conscious film production company seeking a dedicated and experienced First Assistant Director (1st AD) to join our team. We have an array of feature and short film projects lined up, primarily in the horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror genres, with potential for work in other genres as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Production:
    • Work closely with the director, producers, and department heads to break down the script and develop a detailed shooting schedule.
    • Collaborate in the creation of call sheets, ensuring all departments are informed and prepared.
    • Assist in casting and location scouting as needed.
  • On Set:
    • Oversee the daily operations on set, ensuring the production stays on schedule.
    • Coordinate with the director, cinematographer, and other key crew members to manage the flow of production.
    • Ensure the cast and crew adhere to the shooting schedule and handle any on-set issues promptly.
    • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment, enforcing health and safety regulations.
  • Post-Production:
    • Work with the post-production team to ensure continuity and organization from shoot to editing.
    • Assist with any additional tasks that may arise during the post-production process.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a 1st AD in feature and short film production, particularly in horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror genres.

Our upcoming projects include a mix of feature and short films, with a strong focus on horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror genres, though other genres are also in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Camera Equipment Management:
    • Assist the cinematographer by ensuring all camera equipment is properly maintained, set up, and ready for each shot.
    • Manage the assembly, disassembly, and transport of camera equipment.
    • Handle lenses, filters, and other camera accessories with care, ensuring their cleanliness and proper functionality.
  • Focus Pulling:
    • Accurately pull focus during filming to ensure that all shots are sharp and meet the director’s vision.
    • Collaborate with the director of photography (DP) to maintain consistent focus throughout complex shots, including those involving movement.
  • On-Set Support:
    • Assist the DP and camera operator in setting up shots, including marking actors’ positions and coordinating camera movements.
    • Maintain clear communication with the camera department and other crew members to ensure a smooth production process.
    • Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise with the camera or its accessories during shooting.
  • Equipment Inventory:
    • Keep a detailed inventory of all camera gear, ensuring that everything is accounted for before, during, and after production.
    • Report any equipment issues or damages immediately to the appropriate personnel.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a 1st AC on feature and short films, particularly in horror, fantasy, and sci-fi horror genres.
